MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

You must have the necessary skills and knowledge to work independently and efficiently. You should also have the necessary leadership and communication abilities. In addition, you should have the necessary knowledge about the various legislative frameworks such as the PFMA and the Ideal Hospital framework.

After obtaining a one-year post-basic qualification in oncology nursing science, candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience. They should also be registered with the South African Nursing Council. This includes knowledge of the legal prescripts used in the regulation of healthcare.

A basic R425 qualification, which includes a degree in nursing or a diploma in nursing, is required for registration as a professional nurse with the South African Nursing Council. After one year of training, the candidate should be able to apply for a position as a registered nurse with the Sanctionnal of Oncology Nursing Science. A minimum of 9 years of experience in nursing is required for the position.

Duties

The supervision of the day-to-day operations of the unit is necessary to ensure that the quality of nursing care is maintained. This includes the effective utilization of resources and the supervision of staff. The goal is to maintain a professional and ethical standard.

This position involves working with the Quality Improvement Program and the multidisciplinary team to improve the quality of patient care. You will also be involved in the development of a positive practice environment.

PLEASE NOTE:

Applications for the new Z83 form must be submitted online or in person at a Public Service Department. The form can be obtained from the internet at www.dsa.gov.za or from any of the agency’s branches. The Z83 should be signed and initialled.

The Department of Health should be the one that advertised the position. However, applicants should not be required to provide copies of their documents, such as their qualifications and Curriculum Vitae. In a circular released in 2022, the PSA explained that applicants should only complete the Z83 form and provide a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae.

The Curriculum Vitae should be updated to include the following information: All references should be in a chronological order and should include the position, institution, and dates of birth, as well as the relevant dates. The information on the new Z83 should also be the same as the old one.

Only the candidates that have been selected will be required to provide copies of their documents, such as their qualifications and Curriculum Vitae. They should also be subject to a personnel suitability check. This will include at least three references that they should have an immediate supervisor status.

If the candidate fails to provide all the necessary information, they will be disqualified. Besides their documents, they should also be subjected to various other checks such as criminal record checks, identity verification, and financial stability checks.

The CHBAH has the right to conduct tests and exercises for non-SMS positions to determine if the candidates are suitable for the posts. The department also reserves the right to not fill the vacancies.
