AfriGis, a Pretoria-based technology innovation firm, is seeking eligible Geoinformation Science graduates to apply for their GIS Internship Program course intake in 2022-2023. If you have a strong interest in geographic information systems and data, be sure to study the role’s minimal qualifying criteria and duties before applying.
AfriGIS Overview
AfriGIS was founded in 1997 and works in the scientific, managerial, and technological consulting fields. It is based in Pretoria and provides a variety of technological services, including asset tracking, consumer insights, and data and analytics research. AfriGIS now employs over 90 people in various places such as Cape Town, Durban, Dhaka (Bangladesh), and Dublin (Ireland).
GIS Internship AfriGIS 2022-2023
The GIS Internship is a 12-month program designed to give new graduates with significant professional exposure and skill development. In accordance with this, the GIS Intern’s primary duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Data collection and cleansing
- Data editing and upkeep
- Production of maps
- Geocoding
Who is eligible to apply?
The ideal candidate must be able to fulfill the following basic eligibility and competency requirements:
- Possesses a university degree in Geoinformation Science or a related area
- Prior job experience is not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
